Willowfest 2007

Greetings Cricket Lovers,

With the Summer Season near upon us, I would like to issue as invitation to all interested cricketers to this years Willowfest Championships. Willowfest is an annual cricket tournament, hosted in Mildura between the 27th and 30th of December. Teams are graded into Divisions and compete in 3 one day 50 overs per side, and 2, 30 over per side matches under WSC rules over 4 days. We also have the Willowfest Whack held at each carnival, as we search for the biggest hitter of the tournament. Last years winner from Melbourne won a trip for 2 to Singapore, with South Australia's big hitting Nick 'Slim' Johns coming in 3rd place for the 2nd year running. Prize Money is up for grabs, with the higher the grade, the bigger the dividends. We currently have 2 South Australian teams participating on a regular basis in Kangarilla and Kersbrook. Both sides enjoyed success last year, with Kangarilla winning 'A' grade and a cheque for $1500, and Kersbrook winning 'B' grade with a payout of $750. We are encouraging more teams, clubs, group of individuals to cross the border from South Australia to enjoy the experience of Willowfest 2007. We would love to see you there. Go to http://www.willowfest.com.au for more information and contact details.

DKL, I would assume you live in Mildura also? Would love to touch base. Send me a pm if you would like to get in touch.
Cheers

In keeping up to date with International Cricket, the 2 X 30-30 games on one day, will be replaced by 2 by 20-20 games. We are also looking at bringing a South Australian Cricket Legend over as the ambassador of the tournament. Go to http://www.willowfest.com.au

With Darren 'Boof' Lehman announcing his retirement recently, the Willowfest Carnival is lucky enough to have Boof as ambassador. If any teams/players are thinking of making the trip over come Xmas time, please go to http://www.willowfest.com.au for contact details.
