Moe's mail.

ICC get their way and slip down to section 2, although they wanted section 3.
Funnily enough, the email submission came from a person who has left the club to play elsewhere, but still referred to it as our club.
Morphettville Park and Mitchell Park into section 1.

Player movement on the grapevine: Long serving WYC stalwart Matt King to Coromandel.
Kye Dean to Ramblers
McKee from ICC to Coromandel
Aurlert leaving Mitchell Park, possibly Brighton.

Interesting movements that will see the strong clubs only get stronger with good junior players coming through as well. Have heard Ramblers getting the band back together with former plagers returning for their 100th year as a club

It’s crazy how butt-hurt some people get about park cricket. The sledging yesterday was equal parts funny and pathetic from Morphettville Park. Clubs ARE actually allowed to recruit players. Good luck for the year with the sooky attitude, it wont serve you very well. Cheers.

Kingy made the agonizing decision to leave WYCCC to play Section 1 while he still can, having a sook because a bloke is playing Section 1 and bats well is equal parts sad and pathetic.

Sad day.

Important Club Update – 2025 Season

Western Youth Centre Cricket Club

After a lot of discussion and careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to withdraw our Section 3 and Section 7 teams for the remainder of the 2025 season.

This has not been taken lightly. A combination of ongoing injuries, reduced player availability and teams being moved into higher divisions over recent seasons has made it increasingly challenging to field competitive and reliable sides each week.

We have done everything we can over the past few rounds to find a solution, however continued forfeits are not sustainable for the club moving forward.

We will continue to field our Section 2 side and are working hard behind the scenes to support those players for the rest of the season. We are also exploring options for some affected players to still be involved through permitted arrangements at other clubs.

Thank you to all players, coaches, volunteers and supporters who have stuck with us. Your support means everything as we look to reset, rebuild and come back stronger.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.

I'm sorry, but this is weak as piss to take out your B grade side as well.
It doesn't matter if you cop a few floggings over the course, it happens to every club now and then.
I can understand the C grade being yanked, but now it looks like half the players are propping up Phantoms, who are in just the same position as WYC, and that's not helping anyone.

Nobody is saying it, but I will.
The mass importing of non Australian players to clubs, like WYC, South Road and Warradale are short term solutions, but will lead to clubs demises.

Having said that I'll address why I haven't posted in here for a while.
Bugger me, you Coromandel dicks have very short fuses.
An off the cuff, sarcastic remark, and you blokes lose ya bloody mind.

Truth is, King tried Ramblers first.
Told he would have to pay subs, like everyone else, and no one gets paid.
Went to you flogs, and you do pay.
Yep, clubs are allowed to recruit. Paying players in hard wicket cricket, please!
Wonder how Matt feels now with his old club in such a state.

1) Literally not a single person cares why you haven’t posted here in a while.

2) You were the one losing your mind sooking on a forum about your team losing in round 1. Sooking runs rife in that club, on-field and off-field. Wah, we lost a game, wah, a player another team recruited made a 50, wah. Wah wah wah. (There’s our short fuse again).

3) Your facts are just plain wrong. Coromandel isnt paying Kingy a cent. You’re a joke talking about someone else’s financial circumstances on a forum without having your facts right. You’re laughable like your club is.

Try again whoever you are. Get Morphies to write another sooking email about short pitched bowling or wet grounds to the association, then jog on.
