No chance. President of KCC is also president of SCA. But yes, having played SCA for 5 years and seeing numbers drop off, a merger with GSCA would be advantageous. I don't see it happening in next few years though.

Have Reynella been offically accepted in ATCA and into A2 next season? I am not sure how they can lay a centre wicket in December and then play footy on it. I would of thought that the square would need 'resting' and time to take over the winter. Didnt Sturt relay Mitcham Oval square a few years ago and Mitcham Footy Club played at a different ground for the year?

I am lead to believe that the Footy Club was approached and asked to play there games at Reynella East High School which is the same place that the Cricket club moved there games to.

Yes I believe they have been accepted in by ATCA as they are keen to get more clubs down south.

Punter what grade have they been accepted? I have heard that ATCA have not heard from Reynella as to whats going on with the oval etc? I have also heard that Reynella have been trying to recruit players with saying they will be in A2 next year. What I am hearing is two different stories, if accepted into A2 who will drop out for them? Is the ATCA telling clubs lies as to saying Reynella has not been approved to enter ATCA let alone A2 yet?

With ATCA have promotion/relegation I would imagine they will take the minor premier up and Reynella from the A3 comp. Ideally I think ATCA will hope that Brighton knocks of Unley in the A3 semi Final as Unley are minor premier and then go on to beat Kilburn or Fulham in the Grand Fianl as Brighton can't go up to A2 as they have a rule saying you can't have sides in A1 and A2. This would be there escape from upsetting any turf clubs.

I have heard they have accepted Reynella into A2. I believe it is something that they will just do when the program comes out to save backlash at Delegates meetings.

Mind you with the wat ATCA is currently being run anything could really happen.

I think they will accept them into A2 or at worst A3 with there second side being B2, B3 or C1.

Will just have to wait and see I guess. Will be interesting when a club finds out they haven't won Promotion whatever grade there A grade comes into.

In my opinion even if it upsets a club or two it is something that they need to do to expand the competiton.

There second side should not be in C1. It would do no favors for anyone. There is no way you can rely on performance in C1 as an indicator of how a player will go in A2. The difference in level is just too big.

Well I suggest Kilburn could be the unlucky side that will miss out on an A2 spot next season if Reynella is coming in in this grade as Unley as minor Premier are through to the Grand Final after knocking over Brighton and I would assume Kilburn would have defended there 120 odd having Fulham 7/32 at stumps Day 1
