Adelaide Turf Finals

Postby dont think do » Tue Mar 13, 2007 10:20 am

Well its that time of the year. I am lucky enough to be playing in finals for Penfield in B3, not to sure who against yet as al the scores are not in yet. It looks like we will finish second by .4 still its a home final which will be good.

The other good thing is we have beaten all the other sides in the 4 this year, we still have to do it again (twice for that matter) but at least we know we are good enough if we do everything right.

Any one else?

Yep, in a Lazarus like display the Adelaide University Blacks have secured an away final to Pulteney in the LOAs.
Looking to be gone for all money, the Blacks needed to beat top placed Pulteney away (for the second week in a row - what a year of programming) and hope for the 8th placed Dolphins of CBCOC to knock off third placed Grange. Uni triumphed and on the corresponding oval CBCOC got over Grange by a wicket in the last over. GOLD!
We now play Pulteney away for the third week running. A tri-series!!!

Better make sure your club coughs up some cash if you want to play this weekend.

Just saw that on the web site, not sure what the story is as club hasn't said anything to us.
But is funny to see that and at the same time although all scores where meant to be updated yesterday the team who will finish top are yet to update scores from round 11.

What's funnier is that after not having a program ready until half way through the season, having to reschedule the first round of the LO competitions as a result and looking completely incompetent, the Turf now threaten to disqualify clubs for a late payment
