We have missed out Bob Simunsen - Woodville centreman, Magarey Medal runner-up, two-time Reserves Magarey Medallist, State representative, SANFL Hall of Famer and 4 first class matches as a left hand batsman for South Australia in 1972/73 at the age of 31 (after retiring from football).

Here's one I only discovered the other day:

Don Russell
Over 100 games for West Torrens in the early 1960s
    SANFL League umpire
Played in Woodville's first A grade district cricket premiership team in 1965-66

An obvious one that is missing is the current Collingwood captain Scott Burns. Think he played a couple of years of A's at East Torrens.

Someone senior in the Melbourne security industry told me it was very easy to have a "run in" with DH, and that everyone in the industry predicted it was going to blow up sometime, although no one expected quite such a serious end result..

Ernie Jones from South, North and Port. He was the one who bowled a ball at W G Grace's beard and said " sorry Doctor, she slipped." When you add in Gehrs, Clem Hill and Reedman it seems South could have almost had their own test team.
Alfred ' Bulla" Ryan from South played Shield Cricket with Bradman.

James Moss, a current Adelaide Crow rookie listed player (and of course a member of Central Districts Premiership side) has played Representative cricket at an under 19 level for South Australia.

In fact, the day he was rookie drafted to the Crows, I believe he was behind th stumps with the gloves on for SA in the National Championships down in Tasmania. A very talented sportsman allround is young James

I believe he is the only player to play 200 matches in both League Football and A Grade District Cricket.
