Darren Jarman: Hall of Fame inductee

Postby Punk Rooster » Fri Jul 20, 2007 10:50 am

Well done to Darren "Fud" Jarman on his induction into the AFL Hall of Fame.
Darren is a Premiership player with North Adelaide, Hawthorn & Adelaide, & also has the distinction of playing 100+ games with each club.

It worries me that on mon or tue night, a caller was on KG & CORNES, saying that fudd and Mclean were inducties.Talk about leaks more than the TITANIC.

It's not as tho it's the Brownlow or a major AFL secret tho. Not a huge deal being leaked early but still shouldn't have happened I agree. I think these things are harder to keep under wraps because so much pre-planning (such as printing, inviting friends/family, etc) gets done around the individual being awarded that too many people end up knowing about it.

Well done Fud!

Does it matter if it was leaked?
Sometimes rumours are true, and this one was.
So who cares, it just sped up a good thing.

Sorry... PR threw me saying he was inducted to the AFL hall of fame... Im sure his achievements in the SANFL would have contributed to his inclusion, but im sure his 200 odd AFL games and AFL premierships may have just got him over the line...

Good to see fud in the Hall of Fame champion player and looks like he is now a champion drinker. North should put him at full forward in the candy stripes in a legends game.

One of the best from here, ever. :D

Watching the No. 8 'cruise' along the outer wing @ Footy Park during the North 'heady days' of the mid to late '80's was just an aqbsolute pleasure to watch.

Having said that, the No. 17 up & down the middle wasn't bad either !!!

Great tribute to Noonan also.

Well done Fudd, a true legend.

P.S. Was @ MCG for '97 GF, he was outstanding along with the rest of them, a great day for SA Footy !!! :D :D

It probably should be in the Regional Forum

Congrats to Fud ... I don't think I've ever enjoyed watching anyone play as much as Darren, had supreme balance and as good a foot skills as you are likely to see ... My interest in AFL footy has waned big time since he retired from it.

Darren Jarman what a superstar. He was my favourite player at North and is the reason i'm a Hawthorn supporter. I had to support the side he was in. Well done Fud.
