Dear Spelly,
I would love to see some stats on how many SANFL League games each selection in the mini-draft has played over the years.
Edit: I changed the title to something more appropriate.

Along with their age, which AFL draft they were picked in and at what number they were picked, thanks very much.
I'd like to answer some questions such as are the younger/older picks better value for their SANFL clubs, and also early draft picks vs later draft picks.

This is the past four years Mini Draft:
The Age is calculated at the 1st of April the following season - i.e. 2005 Mini Draft players at 1st of April 2006.

I would say the best Rookie selection in the Mini Draft would have to be Mark McKenzie, easily.

One of the very few who continued to play for their assigned club after being delisted...
Top work, Spelly.

After being delisted by Port, then Carlton, to return back here, a rarity indeed. Two B&Fs' in a row and a premiership; shows what loyalty can do *cough*O'Hara*cough*.

Andrew Eccles was an interesting one. Played some very good footy with the Crows but not worth a cracker when playing for Norwood.

Looby is back with the Magpies for 2007. For some reason wont be playing for Port Melbourne as planned. Good to have him back.

Did Ronnie Burns really kick 13 goals without a miss? Those 2003 games were presumably the only SANFL games he ever played. Begs the incredibly obscure question (one for spell_check and the rest): what's the highest number of goals kicked by a player who never kicked a career behind, in SANFL history?

Burns played 2004 for PM- the Grogs sledged him without mercy on the hill, chanting "DUI"...

Yes he did but Blight kicked 14 goals without a miss against West in Round 3 1985.

I think the question was for their entire career - but thanks for bringing that one up!

Didn't Schofield get assigned to Centrals?
Also, i recall Darren Fraser playing for the Port Magpies, but seem to recall he went there after initially being assigned to another club (after being delisted?), possibly Norwood, not sure if my memory is correct though??

Ah yes, that's true, I can't think of any other like that anyway.

I'm not sure about that.

Yes, Jarrad Schofield was acquired through the SANFL mini-draft by Centrals. He was on our "list from 1999 - 2004 and played 4 games and kicked 6 goals wearing guernsey no. 1.
