But how many did he play? Glenelg played 45 finals matches between 1971 and 1988.

We know of course that he missed two of them in 1984 due to that suspension. But did he miss any other finals?

Interesting spelly. Ebert would have to come close? Although Port missed finals a couple of years 83, 85 and was in Vic in 79.

Of the current day players, Cicollela would have to be the one whose played the most, given Eagles have been in finals since 99 and usually have played 3-4 finals. Brett James would have been close too, given he would have played some finals in ealry 90's.

Port only played 32 finals matches during Motleys career.

The final 5 and the number of times Glenelg played 3 or 4 finals in a season helped Carey in regards to playing a lot of them.

From what I worked out a while back this is North's top finals players....

David Sanders - 22
Peter Bennett - 20 (Didn't play 1983)
Mike Redden - 19 (Missed 1st Semi in 1990)

Other notables....
Kim Klomp, Bob Hammond - 17 each
Don Lindner, Mike Parsons, Stephen Riley - 16 each

It's interesting to note that North Adelaide have never been in 5 consecutive finals series - 4 is the record (1930-33, 1970-1973 and 1989-92)
But the record number of seasons out of finals for North is only 7 - 1976-82. Only Port and Norwood out of the 8 established Glenelg and Sturt inc. have had lower than that. Hence why someone like Redden who played for 16 seasons only had 19 matches to his credit (1978-82 North didn't make it)

The Torrens record would be 16 by Bob Hank (He missed the 1955 1st Semi with that season ending injury in Round 1 of that year)
Alf Roberts also played in the same years as Hank - 1944-58 - but only played in 14 (He missed the three finals in 1949 through injury)

I reckon Woodville's record holder would have to be Max Parker since Sewer missed in 79. Parker played in 79 and all 4 finals in 86/7.

All of Woodvilles top game players (except Allen) played in only one of 1979 or 86/87, except for Parker and Sewer, so Parker it would be.

Tim Ginever could have played in 34 finals matches between 1984-1997...

Paul Northeast?

At the most he would have played 34 matches between 1989 and 2000 (He only played 2 matches in total in 1987 and none in 1988)
