Round 11, 1982

Postby Adelaide Hawk » Fri Sep 01, 2006 1:33 am

I am hoping someone out there can provide an answer for me.

For the entire 1982 season, 20 players were picked in a league team each weekend. However, in Round 11 each side played 21 players. I have not been able to stumble across the reason why this occured.

I know that South Australia played a state match against WA at Football Park 2-3 days prior to the round and wonder if this was the reason.

Sounds fairly reasonable/logical to me.

Stay tuned AH, I've got to dig out my old Football Times to find out what
happened regarding this matters.
