I did have the Sydney/Eagles score somewhere, I went to that game; we were 4 goals up at quarter time, only to lose 15 goals to 8.

If only SANFL clubs weren't restricted in the salary cap and players weren't poached in the draft, they would be more competitive against the lower ranked AFL sides.

North played the newly formed Brisbane Bears at Carrara pre season 1987. I've got the score somewhere which I'll dig up for you. I can tell you however that North got flogged.

Collingwood won by three points.

Port kicked 3 or 4 goals in the last 10 minutes.

I remember that. I thought it was 1992 but It could have been later. Yes both teams both wore their usual guernseys. Surprsingly, there wasnt that much conflict.

Port Adelaide also played Fremantle in a trial game in the 1995 pre season. Darren Forrsman played his only game for the Magpies. Darryl Borlace got reported for charging and it saw the first viewing of a young flashy kid with long white hair charging off of half back in Clive Waterhouse.

Fremantle won by 4-5 goals if memory serves. Ill try and discover the score.
