My old man, when bemoaning how great the arch enemy were in the 50's, used to regularly speak highly of this bloke.

No doubt a sad loss to family, friends and the Magpie army.

Sad news, he was one of those legendary names I studied when I was a kid. Incredible to think he achieved all he did after not being able to get a game with Hawthorn. Must have been a great player.
