I know this isn't SANFL related in regards to season 2011, but...

Read in the Sunday Mail today that former Glenelg and Swans listed player Josh Willoughby has wrecked his knee playing SAAFL footy with Old Iggies and it is apparently worse than when Trent Hentschell did his knee.

Willoughby has ruptured all 3 of the main ligaments in the knee and the 'Ben Hook Column' made mention that rehabilitation alone will take up to 2 years before he can consider his comeback options.

That is a terrible thing to happen to anyone and I feel so sorry for Josh, who did some Special Comments work with LifeFM a couple of years ago. A really nice guy is the former Tiger and a real shame for him.

All the best in your recovery Josh, hopefully you can still play footy down the track.

Yeah was a terrible injury, was a ball up in the FWD pocket and big Carlo Calabrese tapped it straight down to him and simple tackle you would see 20 times in a game and the leg just buckled under him. Poor bloke had to then wait 40 mins on the side of the oval for the Ambulance.

We was probably favourite for the Div 2 Medal as well.

Wish him the best of luck in his recovery.

Terrible luck, wish him all the best in his recovery.

I heard he was planning on playing for Norwood next year - he is married to Tom Warhust's daughter. Guess that will be off now.
