We tend to do better against Port at Alberton than at Elizabeth in recent years - last 3 trips there we've won by 70, 40ish and 59 points.
They don't keep me here because I'm gorgeous and 5'10

The first 15 meetings; Central won their first match over Port in Round 14 1971. There is also a 13 match streak between Round 4 1974 and Round 9 1979.

It was very ugly early on for us against Port.
Even when we had good sides (before 2000), a win against Port almost felt like a premiership.

yeah i remember us beating them at alberton in 1995 or 1996, i thought that was as good as football got, like you said it felt as if we won the flag then and there.

While we are talking streaks what is Central streak up to now at Elizabeth.

What is the record for most consecutive wins at home by any SANFL side.

That was 96 -was a great day. We had a bye in local footy, could've been Queen's birthday long weekend.
A fantastic day at the footy that one.

yep, Conway kicked 6 I think. Lurker headbutted Poole i think, after he grabbed Lurker's nuts. What was the name of the big bugger that played for Us then, used to play for Essendon? I think he kicked 5 or 6 that day as well.

Attended the first nine in that run, then got a job that required me to work Saturdays. I blame my absence from the crowd for the end to that streak. Those were GOOD TIMES. :D
Roger Woodcock -- 602 goals from a forward flank makes you a legend.
