Robran then followed "reasonably" closely by Ebert and PAUL Bagshaw - the rest a far bit of daylight after that IMHO!

 I cannot believe that "Baggy" can be listed as low as he has been in this thread - a football magician!

geeez I feel old...... when the thread topic stated champs from "distant/long past", I was expecting to see names like Farmer, Moriarty etc, so i got rather a shock to find the list comprised relative "youngsters" from the 1970s & 80s

Its too difficult to rank all 25 in order but FWIW
IMO:

1 Robran

daylight

2 Bagshaw
3 Ebert
4 McLeod (i know his name wasnt there for some reason)
5 Blight
6 D Jarman
7 Ricciuto
8 Bradley
9 Darley
10 Kernahan
..................
(I think Peter Motley would easily have been in my top 10 but as mentioned by someone, he didnt play long enough to rank)

Gav Wanganeen
Mick Taylor
Michael Aish

Would do very well in todays game.
Placed a side. It was a struggle to find defenders.
Cornes played CHB when he went to South and did OK. If we had a full back Phillips to CHB and Cornes out.

Forwards Davies, Kernahan, D Jarmen.
Half Forwards Blight, Carey, Aish.
Centre Bagshaw, Robran, Riccuitto.
Half Backs McIntosh, Cornes, Bradley.
Backs Wanganeen, Phillips, Mcdermott

1st Ruck. Darley Ebert, Platten...changing off the bench with
2nd ruck. Rehn, Taylor, McGuiness

Emergencies A Jarmen and Motley.

I would think the team would defeat any of the teams going around in the AFL at the present....by a fair margin.
