Team outscoring the oppositions final score in each quarter

Postby spell_check » Sat Feb 20, 2010 8:54 pm

This list since 1899 shows that none occured between 1921 and 1964; and two "pairs" of infamous matches - the 1989 and 2004 Grand Finals, along with the Norwood/Glenelg night matches of 2004 and 2008.

Interesting, I always assumed that the recent era exacerbated the blowout. This contradicts that theory somewhat.

Who would've believed that famous 49.23.317 in 1975 didn't make it...

But thanks for bringing up the 2004 GF again Spelly - I'm sure we could make a Dog fan out of you...

Should be in there if I'm correct.

Lasts quarter scores

Glenelg 15.6 (90)

Centrals final score 11.13 (79)
2017, 2019 & 2020 PREMIERS
RICHMOND, RICHMOND, RICHMOND.

Let that be a lesson to you Sturt. You don't beat Glenelg 3 times in a row in Grand Finals and get away with it.

Spelly's right of course. Glenelg scored more than Central's 79 in the second and last quarters, but not in the first and third.
