Gday Spelly,
I was wondering how the Port V Sturt at Alberton crowd size in Round 1 ? of 1989 compares with other large crowds involving the eventual winners of the wooden spoon.
Thanks
mate
EDIT: If you could please supply a qtr/qtr score that would be great too.
I think it might of been Wanganeens debut game too.

Thanks mate.
I thought the crowd was bigger than that at Alberton that day, but you've shown some interesting stats also.
Thanks again.

No problems, that's not a bad stat, actually.

Well it shows that despite constant remarks about "where were you in the 90's", Sturt fans did attend the footy during their run of wooden spoons and had some good crowds too.

That may be true Smithy, but its not as if Sturt gave too many other teams the chance to "prove" themselves during this time.
Seriously,though, I agree.

Sorry Spelly this is game was played in round 2 1990. Glenelg played West Torrens in Round 1 with John Fidge having a day out if I remember. Went to the Parade with a mate to watch the Jarman brothers play each other.

Ah, thanks for spotting that.

I was typing that out quickly so that's what I get for that.
