Can you tell me the last games of Simon Hele and Nick Chigwidden, who it was against, and what were the scores

That's what I've been working on at the moment, the 2000 season game by game for each player. Except I'm only up to Round 8. I know Chigwidden retired at the end of 2000, and he was listed in the Budget for the Round 23 match, so that would be:

I'm not too sure about Hele, I think he retired after 2001, but I don't have the last round Budget from that year. I know he played in Round 15.

Thanks spelly. I thought he played his last game at the bay and it was a win couldn't be much further from the truth!

I remember Hele's last game. It was the final round in one of Glenelg's spoon years. Glenelg had won 2 games all season and was playing at home to South (spelly, that should enable you to pinpoint the year). IIRC Glenelg had most of the play but couldn't put South away and it was close at 3/4 time. In the final term Glenelg was kicking to the southern end. Simon Hele had a kick on goal from the grandstand side. It looked like an arse of a kick off the boot, but when it attained height the wind took it and steered it perfectly through the centre of the goalposts. Players ran from all corners of the ground to congratulate Hele and the Bays ended the season with a rare win. At the pressoes that night Hele spoke of how he dreamed to play for the Bays as a kid, and to end up captaining the side was fulfillment beyond expectation.

Yep thats all sounds familiar now, Ive got Hele and Chiggy mixed up

Same, Ive got a shocking memory however do remember one of our champs from that era being charied all the way from the hill to the race after his last game and a close/unexpected win, I thought it was Chiggy!

I do remember a Snout going nose to nose with Tony Symonds at 3/4 time a few years back though
