Bumped into Malcolm the other day and thought "what an amazing story this guy has".
He played in Hawthorn's 61 flag as a ruckman.
Then moved to South Australia where he played with Sturt in three flags in just 40 games.
Much of the time he was living in Berri, where he managed the Berri Resort Hotel.
IIRC one of the grand final wins was the only game he played in all season.

He also experienced premiership glory at Berri.

Is anyone able to tell me more about his time at Sturt?
