Making the finals

Postby am Bays » Fri Jun 12, 2009 11:14 am

Following on from the strike rate thread Spelly where we could work out how many times each club made teh GF and won it.

From the creation of the final 4 from 1920 whatever how many times has each club made the finals?

BTW I'm tipping the ladder to look like this:

Port
Norwood
Sturt
North
West Torrens
Glenelg
West Adelaide
Central Districts
South Adelaide
Eagles
Woodville
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

You got 5 places right. :) This is from the first finals series to include four clubs, that being 1902:

Port 89
Norwood 74
Sturt 55
North 51
West 39
Torrens 35
Glenelg 31
South 26
Central 22
Eagles 14
Woodville 3

This is the table by percentage:
Port 88.1
Eagles 77.8
Norwood 73.3
Sturt 54.5
North 50.5
Central 48.9
Torrens 42.2
West 38.6
Glenelg 36.5
South 25.7
Woodville 11.1
