Spelly, not sure whether this has come up as a topic before, but what is the most common pair of final scores (goals and points)?

Similarly, is there a pair of scores (goals and behinds) that have never been final scores, within reasonable bounds (say 50-150 or 160 points, and not a ridiculous amount of points, ie under say 25)?

I apologise for not answering sooner, because my computer is in repairs at the moment. And for that matter, my files are there too. (I'm on another computer at the moment) When I get them back, I'll answer all of the questions posed to me.

For your other half of the question, although some are not quite within your guidelines, they are not without possibility seeing we have seen scores of 2.15, and 18.28 in the past 8 years:

Yeah, this is what I was asking - so there are several times throughout history the same scores have been kicked, but the most times is four, and there are several examples of this.

I couldn't see the answer to the second part of the question - I was coming from the perspective of the games' score, eg has 23.16 v 10.8 never been scored in a match

There are a lot of pairs of scores you could generate - out of 8618 matches I have on file between Round 1 1897 and Round 6 this year, there are 7718 different pairs of scores. So, it's likely that at least one scoreline is unique each week.

Having sorted the scores again, another scoreline has occured five times, here's a list of three or better:
