1901 State Side

I have been re-entering State Side Data and have a slight problem for Game 2, 1901 SA v VFL.

On the Tuesday of 11-7-1901 the Former State Side vs SA Combined Side to choose a final side. In the trial, J. O'Brien played BUT the initial is a misprint as the O'Briens of 1901 were

WTFC - M. O'Brien
SAFC - Frank O'Brien and His Brother Fred "Beer" O'Brien

I know it was a south Player but the initial F. O'Brien could be either player. Originally I leant towards this being F.M "Beer" Obrien but he was in W.Aust until Rd 7 when he made his first appearance for South in 1901 v West Adelaide.

I ran out of time to read the papers yesterday to try and check SAFA meetings to see if they specified which O'Brien. (He played CHF as well)
Anyone have an idea as both O;Briens play for south most games from Rd7 on.

Here is a cut and paste of our side from exel (I can never keep the formatting) - ignore the DB code it is wrong!

Can't have been him, the match didn't end in a tie.

Answer - Fred O'Brien SAFC AKA Beer O'Brien (mistakenly referred to as Vere in SA Papers)
