Goalkicking reconds in the Reserves and Under age comps

I'm sure Rudy Mandemaker never kicked 10 goals in a league game but I recall him bagging 15 in a reserves game at Elizabeth. I've also been told that an uncle of mine once kicked 18 goals for West Adelaide in an U17 or U19 game.

A question for Spell_Check: What are the individual game and season goalscoring records for the Reserves, U17's and U19's competitons?

I'm pretty sure that Merv Shaws' 26 goals for Torrens against South in 1940 is the Reserves record.

I don't have a clue for the 19s or 17s though, unfortunately.

There have been 122 Under 19s matches where a team has scored 30 goals or better. 5 of those 40 or better. They are:

44.27 (291) Glenelg vs West 5.6 (36) Rd 18 1973
42.28 (280) Port vs Woodville 10.3 (63) Rd 3 1980
43.20 (278) Eagles vs North 2.0 (12) Rd 21 2000
42.22 (274) Norwood vs North 3.5 (23) Rd 21 1987
40.25 (265) Central vs Woodville 2.1 (13) Rd 15 1980

For the 17s, there have been 51 occasions where a team has scored 30 goals or better. The only 40 goal match was this:

41.16 (262) West vs Port 1.0 (6) Rd 22 2002

Thanks Spell_Check. I wasn't sure if you would have individual goalscoring for each game. What about individuals in a season - there have been quite a few century goal kickers in the junior grades.

Yes, but I think the only proper documentation of that occured in the Football Times era. There was some discussion about that in the Norwood/North Under 17s Grand Finals of 1984 thread.

I saw that game. I think Port scored their goal early in the first quarter.

Todd Boughen kicked 10 for West Adelaide, as did some scrubber called Adam Cooney :D

I recall Craig Burton kicking asomewhere between 15 and 18 goals in a Reserves game at Richmond once.

You wouldn't happen to know who has the quarter by quarter scores of that match?

Cool, thanks for that. :) The 2001-2005 period I have very few quarter scores from the 19s and 17s, and the same goes for the Reserves from 2001-2004.
