What is interesting is it does show that his 1898 Magarey Medal wasn't a "flash in the pan"

OK this is something I've always wondered but have never been aware or able to find the answer it says Green played for th Norwood Cricket Club. What became of it? Did it become Kensington and changed colours? I understand East Torrens came in in teh laste 70s or was that Tea Tree Gully??

Mike Coward seems to think it was because he was residentially tied to both the Sturt Football & Cricket Clubs, and whereas he was happy to play cricket for Sturt, he didn't want to play football for them. However, Sturt weren't in the league at that time, so it doesn't make sense.

i know that East Torrens used Norwood Oval up until the late 70's before they moved to where they are now.

More likely than not it would have been another club's area (until 1901) - South perhaps??

That would make sense. Also would explain why there is a difference between playing cricket and footy in the same area.
