Spell Check, Leaping Lindner & Ecky- can you guys put together a list of where each non-SANFL club listed player ended up after the mini draft, going back to '91? (ie North Adelaide- Matthew Collins, Stephen Paxman, Ben Hudson, Ian Perrie etc South Adelaide- Ian Perrie, etc)

Jason McCartney was signed by Glenelg in 1990 to play SANFL footy if he wasn't drafted by a Victorian club, so he was our player but so how he went to South is an absolute travesty.

Newsflash Norwood he didn't need a home.....he had one....

I know Glen Elliot was incredulous at the time when the decision got handed down I would imagine he would still be baffled how a signed player can not be signed player alligned to a SANFL club....

One year North let Glenelg have the first 2 selections (ie forfeited their's), to enable the 2 Vic players to settle in together. What year was that?

Not 100% sure but I reckon that was "ecky" head and his ex-teammate. At a guess 2001.

Come to think of it I reckon Chad Rintoul was at Port (not that Port the "other" Port you know not the "real Port ...well they are the real Port on the honour board and Tim Ginever played for one club only and.....and.....and.... ](*,) )

According to Spelly, Rintoul played for Eagles, & Schwarz didn't.Tere were 3 players up for grabs at the end of 92, Wigney, Schwarz & Geddes. So the bottom 3 sides from 92 would've had the picks.
93 ND no outsiders were brought in, no players to share.
94 ND M Collins to NA, M connell to WA, J McCartney to SA, Allen Nash to Sturt
95 ND P Caven to Sturt, A Fernee to ?, K Johnson to ?, B Williams to ?, 96 PSD S Ellen to SA, B Logan to NA
96 ND A Eccles to , Tom Gilligan to NA (then PA?), B Parker to , C Rintoul to WWT, B Standfoeld to Sturt, 97 PSD S Paxman to NA

I thought Spa Geddes came in the 1992 MSD and as the only unaligned player went to Sturt

Yep, that was Angwin and Handby who went to Glenelg in 2001.

The players that I can think of off the top of my head who have gone to Glenelg via the mini-draft are:

Kane Johnson
John Rombotis
Josh Carr
Lance Picioane
Lawrence Angwin
Michael Handby
Matthew Shir
Damien Hardwick
Josh Mahoney
Steven Salopek
Rowan Andrews
Ryan Willits
Richard Douglas

There are probably a few more - I'll look it up properly later.

Schuback came to us after he was first assigned to West.
Harwood came to us after he was first assigned to South.
A Parker came to us after he was first assigned to South.
