Spelly in the 18 games Glenelg played the Warriors (1983-1990) how many did we lose?

IIRC it would only be 4 (1 game each in 1983, 86, 87 & 89) possibly the guernsey we've had the most success against. Could be a good omen for us, given that the Eagles are pulling it out of mothballs for this weekend...

Spelly, do you have match details for that final in 86 when the Bays beat Woodville, after the Warriors beat Port the week prior?

Cornesy reckons there was one stray across the ground kick by a Warriors' defender (Fantasia I think?) that was almost the difference in the game. He made it sound like it was a turning point in the last quarter.

How awesome would it have been seeing the Warriors make the grand final...and knock North off ;)

The Advertiser in 1986 only had the goalscorers and not the behinds for some reason, keep in mind:

Glenelg 4.8 8.12 12.15 15.15 (105)
Woodville 4.0 7.3 9.8 11.18 (83)
Crowd: 30,744

Best:
Glenelg: Copping, McDermott, Maynard, Marshall, Hodgeman, Symonds, Carey
Woodville: Fuller, McDonald, Schwarz, Haylock, Fantasia, Parker, Nichols

Goals:
Glenelg: Copping 5, Marshall, Symonds 2, Garton, McDermott, Woodlands, Hall, Maynard, Kidney 1
Woodville: Nichols 6, Schwarz, Harris, McDonald 1 - and I've only got 9 goals in total here

I was at the VFL Grand Final that day watching the Hawks smash Carlton. I was in an area apportioned to SA people. Some people up on the next level realised we were from SA, and I heard something I never thought I'd hear at a VFL Grand Final. Some yelled out to us, "Anyone know what the Woodville score is?". :)

11.18 would be 84. Sheesh, 2.10 in the last quarter!

Yep, 84 it should be.
