Hi Spelly,

Was thinking of when Graham Molloy made a very late comeback for Norwood in the 80's, I think at the same time his son Glenn was playing there, and wondered, was there any recorded instance in either Reserves or Senior SANFL that you're aware of, with a father and son playing the same match?

I know of instances where both coaches were father/son, but don't know of any where they played.

No, unfortunately I'm not aware of any.

Maybe in Tasmania?

In the Wimmera League going a few years back, there were 2 instances at the Horsham United Football club where father and son lined up together.

Peter and Brad Millar

Josh/Tim Friend and their dad (whose name escapes me)

At smosh last year they had peter vasic played a game with his son Tom Vasic.

I went to primary school with Glenn - he was 11 in 1983 so only aged 17 by 1989

I remember seeing his dad at the games but I don't think they would have played together at Norwood given the age difference

not that i know for sure however

Graham coached us in 1990 at Norwood Districts/Hectorville and from my understanding was already playing at Hope Valley prior to that.

I was at Hectorville at around that time as well.

Don't know about his playing status, but I do remember him looking in pretty good shape out on the training track.
