Old school connections

Postby Psyber » Tue Jun 24, 2008 1:45 pm

I had an old scholars email from Woodville High recently which mentioned Greg Boulton would be addressing a meeting.
It prompted me to have a quick look at the WDHS old scholar and SA football connections:
Greg Boulton
Geoff Motley
Brian Cunningham
Bill Sanders
Bruce Nyland
Bob Simunsen

I was there only with the last two on the list. Rob Kelvin, TV reporter in SA, was also in my class, which is an indirect connection too, and I think Bruce McAvaney was an OS too a little later. [Kevin Crease and Lionel Williams went to school there with my older sister.]

At that time Ian Gates, West Adelaide centreman and SA wingman, was on the staff and got thrashed by Simmo in a staff/student match. "Chicken" Hayes was school footy coach when I was there.
[No place for a Norwood supporter - no wonder I took up Hockey! ]
EPIGENETICS - Lamarck was right!
