I thought if I posted this in here, with all the resources everyone has pooled together, we can figure this one out. Here is the 108 players to have scored 10 goals or more in a match, and their first occasion they did it:

I've lost the few occasions before 1907, however.

So, obviously we can take out Blight and Davies for starters, because at the moment I can think of only one teenager in that lot, Havelberg.

Reckon Dennis Sachse was 19 when he bagged 13 against Woodville in 1967.
Regarding pre-1907 The players who did it were.....J.McKenzie, A.McKenzie, W.Stark, J.Tompkins, M.Healey (all of Port) and Anthony "Bos" Daly from Norwood.Daly kicked 15 and 23 in 1893. Whilst I'm not sure exactly how old he was in 1893 he was still playing at North in 1912 so you'd think he was 18 or 19 in 1893.

Reckon Dennis Sachse was 19 when he bagged 13 against Woodville in 1967.

You could be right LL, he played in the 1966 U19 premiership team. He really burst onto the league scene and looked like being a superstar, but injury interrupted his career.

18 years and 51 days old. Rex Johns being favoured in the side was the reason for him being dropped, rather cruel, really. But nowhere as cruel as the last 20 years of his life.

He fell off the radar well before his time. I know he played in the 75 Reserves premiership. What happened that his career petered out?

He was going strongly until mid-73 and then suffered injuries. He lost interest in footy and went overseas in 1974. Returned to the club and played the first game of 1975 at 25 but that was it so far as his league career was concerned.

Bit of shame really, he had the potential to one of Norwood's great forwards.

I just had a look at the complete book of SANFL Records by Dion Hayman and he is not listed in their either
