Third highest losing score in Under 19 history

23.8 (146) scored by Eagles yesterday was not enough to defeat North 23.13 (151). This score is the third highest losing score in Under 19 history, behind these scores:

24.13 (157) by Glenelg vs Norwood 28.16 (184) in Round 11 1983
23.15 (153) by Sturt vs Woodville 23.16 (154) in Round 5 1985

The previous highest losing score by Eagles in this grade was 16.12 (108) against Port 17.10 (112) in Round 1 1998
The previous highest losing score against North in this grade was 22.8 (140) by Central in Round 18 1983. North kicked 24.23 (167) in that match.
The previous highest losing score by Eagles against North was 15.14 (104) to 17.9 (111) in Round 3 1992
It is the highest scoring match in any grade since Eagles 37.13 (235) defeated North 10.3 (63) in Round 13 2000 in the Under 19s.

Spelly, you've probably done this beofre, but could we have the highest and lowest all time scores for all grades? I already know the league so you don't need to worry about that.

Although I do have the scores from 1945 onwards, they appear in the Grade Records from 1962 thread. The reason I start from 1962 is the Senior and Junior Colts lowest scores is influenced by the length of the quarters. The Reserves was played at the same time as the League (like the 19s do now, and was played to its full length) Do you know how long the quarters were before then for the Senior and Junior Colts?

I never realised they had shortened quarters, I hadn't even thought about it. That's interesting. The first U19 and U17 matches I saw were in 1966, and for memory they definitely played full quarters that day.

Most of the scores were quite low, and the gap between the times of the start of the colts matches to the league was only 90 minutes. That is, until the Reserves was played as a curtain raiser to the League in 1962 instead of the Senior Colts.

I did manage to find a bit of info on the length of the Senior Colts matches from its inception in 1936. It said that the matches are of 15 minute quarter length (didn't say anything about time on) and matches shall start at 1.25 pm and finish no later than 2.45 pm. I don't know if it was always 15 minute quarters up until 1961, though.
