Club Rankings in ALL components since 1991 inclusive

OUTSTANDING
Centrals (rags to riches)

ACCEPTABLE
Eagles (new kids ((X2 clubs)) on the block)
Port (perennial competitors)
North (always entertaining even in the Hart era)
Sturt (good recovery after poor start)
Norwood (just)

EMBARASSING
Glenelg (under achievers)
West (too many imports)
South (lucky to make this level)

If you are going to span 1991-2007 you have to put Port as 'outstanding'

Premiers 92,94,95,96,98,99 runners up 97

If you spanned 2000-2007 then just 'acceptable'

Plus Eagles with 2 premierships in 93 and 06 + runners up in 94, 00, 01, 04, 05 thats 7 GF appearances - better than 'acceptable' IMO

It needs more than 3 groups unless you are just trying to plug the Doggies  (well deserved 'outstanding' rating)

Agreed Hondo. The Eagles have been the most consistent of all clubs in that time frame in the terms of playing finals footy. Allthough not enjoying as much premiership success as Central I believe the Eagles form would warrant outstanding in the terms of the original post.

Central, Eagles and Port the have been the comp leaders 1991-2007

Number of grand finals in that span not involving one of those teams = 1 (1991)

In terms of consistency it's us and Central, then Port close behind, Port would have of course been miles ahead up until 2001.

I think you have Glenelg and West the wrong way around

We have double the grand final appearances

More finals appearances

Less spoons 8)

We would also be above Sturt apart from that Premiership of theirs.....

Re Grand Finals
Magpies record is amazing 6 flags from 7 appearances = 86% win record

Centrals 5 from 9 = 55%

Eagles 2 from 7 = 28%

Cheers

Rocket, good to see I got a bite!. I thought it would be from a Port supporter though! *grins*

Nah, mate just bracing for the inevitable 10 pages of replies arguing back and forth about your point. Who really cares.

I sure don't. It was before 2000, so before real football started.
