This is the second draw the Eagles have been involved in, the other being in Round 12 1993, also against Glenelg, also at Woodville. For Glenelg, it is the 13th draw, the second this season. Glenelg has been involved in 2 draws in a season one other year, in 1964.

This is the 6th time a draw has occured in the last round, the other years were 1928, 1935, 1970, 1972 and 1973. However it is the first time that both teams involved in the draw were/are finals participants in that season.

This is the first time that a draw has occured in Round 23.

There have now been three draws in the season, the only other occasions where there has been three draws in a season were 1919 and 1928. In 1997 there were four draws.

Central District now holds the current record for longest time between between draws - Round 7 1995 against West. West and Sturt are the other two teams not to have drawn in this decade.

Only if it suits me spell_check. If its anti Sturt then I look at it as propaganda.

Another interesting stat is that in Rd 23 2007 only one finalist had a win!

None of the stats I produce are meant to be anti anyone.

Sounds like another Spell_Check mission to uncover the other times more non finalists have won in the last round than finalists!

Port beat Norwood, Glenelg lost to Sturt and North beat Woodville in Round 22 1987. Although that is not quite the stat you were after, 1987 still is the answer for the last time - West beat South and Torrens beat Central were the other two matches, hence non finallists winning 3 to 2.
