Finals Combinations no.2

Postby spell_check » Sun Sep 02, 2007 11:15 pm

Out of the 32 combinations I came up with in the first instalment of "Finals Combinations", it has turned out that the combinations 1 to 4 has been concluded from Saturday's matches.

I have now included draws for this week, as there are now only 8 combinations left when the draws are added.

Thanks Spelly, So to summarise

TO PLAY IN QUALIFYING FINAL
-- Eagles have berth sewn up UNLESS Sturt and North draw.
-- Sturt need to win or draw with North
-- North need to win or (draw with North & Eagles lose to Glenelg)

Glenelg will be playing in Elimination Final

IF BOTH DRAW

Take current positions and give all four teams one premiership point
Positons will not change (ie Eagles v Sturt in QUAL, North v Glenelg in ELIM)

I do know that North and Sturt trade a lot of players with each other but I think North still need to draw with Sturt and not with themselves *grins*

Not quite right, as Spelly hasn't taken into consideration the (very slim) chance that the Eagles percentage goes below Sturt's.

If Glenelg beat Eagles by about 95 points (or more) and North beat Sturt by less than a goal, then the Eagles will miss out on the double chance.

So it turns out that no.6 was the combination. I was hoping to see what possible combination it would be from the 1st instalment, but this one was just as interesting. ;)
