Do a search for the highlight reels of Sturt in the early 90s, you'll find it in the same spot.

Great game this one. Very even for most of the game until North exploded by outscoring the Bays 9 goals to 0 in the last quarter (with 8 goals coming from the last 14 minutes of the game). Brodie Atkinson kicks 5, a decent brawl involving Parker and others, and Sean Tasker's 100th game. Highlights of the last half from Glenelg Oval:

Ahh the infamous Cornesy circling the umpires at 3/4 time game.....
Which you can't blame him for some very baffling decisions favoured North that game:
First Gerke crashes into Jon Symonds "Play on" calls Timmy Kowal...Bartlett remonstrates with Gerke and gives away a free kick.
Okay fair enough....
5 mins later the ball then goes out to Gerke.... who takes the mark Bartlett gets him high....then Parker charges into Bartlett and gets him high...heres me thinking okay the umpires going to reverse it here like he did two minutes ago nup 25 m to Gerke.....In the vision you seen Dean Bailey ask the same ******* question....
Glenelg players think WTF, they lose it for the next 10 mins - how come you ping us but not them - but to be honest that was bad footy though on our part....
Momentum gone - North run over the top of us...
North played the better footy and deserved to win but hell you got a good ride that day at crucial times when the game was on the line....
My other abiding memory is some old hens sat behind us (the Glenelg bench) and just bagged us mercilessly when North started getting a roll on in the last qtr gee they were annoying....
Funny how Timmy Kowal never really kicked on after that game with his umpiring....
LMAO though at David Strooper trying to fly the flag for us in the brawl.....toughest thing he ever did for us![]()
Thanks for the memories Mic![]()
