Hey that's my old stomping ground - who was the feral?

Some great memories on this once-a-year thread. Tell the kids today and they just wouldn't understand...

I still have my action jumper from the late 70's at home, I used to wear it all the time then when my son was little he used to wear it 8) , I will have to have a look at and see who is on the jumper
the old school bags back in the late 70's/early 80's, vinyl in the club colours and the club logo on it

off topic from SANFL but I used to love playing in the lightning carnivals, got to play half a dozen or so games a day, great fun

Those norlee brand bags (with the official club logos)were bloody useless. They split up the side within weeks of buying them.
The early 70's ones were much better. Better made and latest longer!

Still got my dogs bag, had it since I was about 5, which would be since 1979.

Zipper still works and all.

Junior sides weren't called Development Squads, they weren't about Talent Identification. They were called Special Squads!

And depending on what they carried, you called them by their name - Peter (if they were carrying ice creams) or Smithy if you wanted a packet of chips.

In the NEWS newspaper they used to have a competition where they'd jumble a players name up, and you could enter into a comp by sorting out the name and enclosing a pie wrapper.

That sounds similar to a show that Rick Keegan (think it was him) hosted in early 80's, cant remember the name, might have had Coco Cola in the name (as a sponsor).

For those of us that can remember the late 70's, does anyone remember that ad that Bruce Lindsay (with long hair!!) did for KESAB, circa 1978.
