There were a couple of names I wasn't sure about, and a couple who I knew played AFL before then but not after (Phillips).

Schache - Brisbane. RIP.

Whittlesea - Hawthorn.

Clisby - Adelaide.

Both Phillips and Abernethy played for Collingwood prior to this game.

But did Abber play for the Crows?

Does Whittlesea really count?? He was on the list, I cant even recall him playing a senior game, Clisby was on the Crows list, dont think he got a game (may have played one or two) Hardly call that an AFL career...

Whittlesea played several seasons with the Hawks. Got more than a handful of games.

BTW FC, you tell someone who only played a handful of games that they 'didn't have an AFL career' ;)

I've been on community TV twice, does that mean I'm a TV star?

Did Clisby actually play a game for the AFC, i know he was in the squad, i dont think he did.

DW, your initial comment was who played in the AFL after that game - i didn't include Phillips as he played before with Collingwood. Schwartz from WT must have only played a few games for Essendon but i'm pretty sure he did make his debut. Whittlesea although only playing a handful of games would still qualify under your criteria (played AFL after that city/country game).

McKinnon - that would be Robin McKinnon from West Adelaide wouldn't it? Not Marty McKinnon if that's what you're thinking...

And did Staritski actually go to North?

Staritski definitely played AFL, may have even been 2 clubs. Robin McKinnon i think didn't play any AFL.
