Ben hasn't retired, he will be playing for North Adelaide, and have an assistant coaches position there as well.
from the link below,
"If I retired from (AFL) footy when I was ready it's fairly unlikely I'd have gone back to North," Hart said. "I gave everything I had to play AFL but it wasn't to be, so the next best thing is to play with North.

Yes i do realise Hart hasn't retired altogether from footy - the bit i said about that was incidental to the point i was making. I wasn't aware that Ben Hart had a father who played league footy and merely said the bit about "retiring" to identify who i presumed was being discussed. I thought i had heard Ben Hart's fathers name being discussed in the past where the same surname (Hart) was used to identify him.

Did Peter Burgoyne Snr play any SANFL footy? I know he was a champion in the Port Lincoln league but never heard whether or not he played in Adelaide.

Not sure on the validity of this one. Who is Peter Sibenaler and which team did he play for?
Yves Sibenaler's uncle also called Yves played for Centrals in the 70's.
Other Centrals Father/Son combinations I can recall are :
Brian & Shayne Hill who were the first to achieve this feat I believe.
Gary & Peter Window (WA, CD)
Darryl Hicks (St) & Damian (CD) & Joe (St, CD)
John Bubner (NA) - Peter (CD, St) & David (CD)
Tony Casserly & Justin (CD, NA)
Mark Norsworthy & Chad
William Hurn & Shannon (CD, WCE)
Graeme Krieg & Matthew (CD, NA)
Brian Livesey (WT) & Stephen (CD, WT)
Gary Rae & Jason (CD, WWT)
David Saywell & James
Also add Martin Mckinnon (CD, Nwd) to the list as his Grandfather is Sam Gallagher (Nwd)

So that's his Uncle then.  I read that the 70s' Yves first name is actually Peter and assumed that was his father - the Yves connection got me thinking that.
