Agreed- the triple threat of Marker, Day and Robert Oatey was awesome. And as Pseudo said, Mr Fooypunt as well...

One of my favorite football commentators of all time. Accurate, didn't over accentuate facts, humour when it was needed, articulate.
Can you guess where I'm calling from, the Las Vegas Hilton...

he didn't slide into a fence it happened around the chf-hff area of the bay oval northern end (from memory it was against south but i stand corrected on that) & for those that were there all heard the bone break it was so loud

as a commentator he was as good as anyone going around & for punk i'll mention his comment with ian day...(to set it up so you understand it).....i think everyone knows david wildy hit steven kernahan & maybe 3 minutes later (it wasn't long) kernahan hit wildy knocking him out & putting him on a stretcher & as they were watching the replay ian day says to peter marker (similar words to this) "i think you could say he was going for the ball peter ?" pm replies "i think he's a better player than that ian" indicating that the ball was a long way away from the fist

sjabc put the vision up mate ;)

Bayman ... twas his achilles that snapped wasn't it? Rather than a bone in his ankle ... that's my recollection.

I believe you're thinking of Brian Colbey.
