I think the most talented SA team I've seen is the one which LOST to Victoria by 4 points at Adelaide Oval in 1973. A half forward line of Carman, Robran, Marker makes your mouth water.
We had some great players in that era but sadly the Victorians were going through a golden era of their own ... Jesaulenko, Matthews, Hart, Bourke, Bartlett, Thompson, Knights, etc, etc.
Footy was just fantastic around that era.
