"Senior" Football

This isn't so much of a concern now, as there are people like us who will be quick to remind those who made those comments that the SANFL was senior football back prior to 1991.
However, those who weren't around then and have been bred on the AFLcentric view of things that has started to develop over the past decade won't know any different and won't be able to correct the historical inaccuracy that is being bandied about that VFL/AFL was the only competition of any note.
