The Nelsons are a top family.

Sandy played in 7 Premiership sides during our Golden Era.

Only saw Bagshaw at the end of his career. The two best I have seen in Double Blue are Mots - what an absolute sporting tragedy - and the Jumbo.

I enjoyed watching Motley the most, but Davies was the one who would beat you the most.

Yep agreed

I used to like singing this song when I was a kid..."he's fat, he's round, you can bounce him on the ground, Jumbo Davies, the fattest in the league" (replace Rick Davies with Peter Carey for Glenelg games)

It was a pleasure to have personally known Brendon Howard and his wife, Janice through their association with my family of leasing many pacers of ours.

A tragedy we lost him so tragically in 2001.

More unbelievable was that another ex Sturt player Kym Smith also lost his life within a month of Brendon.

Maybe guys on this site are going to call me soft, but, without the Sturt Football Club and the friends and acquaintances I've made this year life would have been double hell for me.

Go U mighty Double Blues! :) :)
