Oatey?

Did Jack's father play league footy? He lived at the top of my street when I was a kid and would always look for a handball when we were out kicking a ball in the street when he walked past.

Robert Oatey son coached NW for no flags, but did he play in the about 1974 St flag ?
Peter Oatey son played for NW, but no flags

EBERT is a real SANFL footy name as well

Son Brett no sanfl PA flags [but father and son won Mag Medals]
And the other Eberts that play for NA + AFL makes this name a star name

Uncle Laurie played in South's 1935 and 1938 premiership teams.

Also played in Richmond's 1943 premiership team while stationed in Melbourne.

Played 7 games for the Tiges after crossing late in the season...

Add John to the Gallaghers to play for Norwood, but no premierships.

Hartley, father of Paul, Bill and John, played seniors for Sturt.

Paul and John both seniors, Bill reserves.

Paul's son Guy also played seniors - seven games if memory serves.

Ken Obst PA
Father of Trevor Obst [PA] and Peter Obst[PA]
Peters son was Andrew[PA]

What a sire Ken is
3 generations of the Obst name
3 does not occur too often ?
If Ken was a premiership player that would make 3 generations of players to win flags

Norwood has a generation of players as well
Peter Aish [flag ?]
Sons Michael Aish and Andrew Aish [did Andy play in a flag ?]
Michaels son Jessie Aish [No flag as yet]

QUESTION
If Ken Obst played in a flag would the Obsts be the only family of 3 generations to win flags ?

Thers some double acts for flags
I reckon these siblings won flags [?]
PHILLIS
ROBRAN
JARMAN
GOWANS

Richard Jn & Stuart COCHRANE at CD Mal

Thanks for that info Jumping John
JJ reads the SANFL history room avidly

PS Magarey medalist Trevor Obst and runner up in a Mag medal Peter Obst grew up in the Torrens area, but played for PA under the father son ruling

I believe that Martin McKinnon 2001 Premiership player at Central District is a grandson of Sam Gallagher on his Mother's side.
