I don't think the Flinders is any more South than Clare. I'm not 100% sure, but I'm confident that the Mount Lofty Ranges includes Eudunda and maybe Burra.

It snowed at Jamestown and Peterborough only just last winter.
The Jamestown pub is full of photos of it snowing there.

I find it hard to believe the 1981 preliminary final is not in that list. I felt utterly frozen getting rained on most of the day, after the Bays had the wind for three quarters, and it was all over at the first break with 6 to zero on the board, and the rain starting. by three quarter time, it was smashing down and I think we kicked four for the day, and never got to Glenelg's quarter time score.

The maximum temperature for that day was 14.5, and the coldest it could have got to was 10.6 as that was the minimum for the following day. Of course, that's the temperatures for Kent Town, so it was probably colder at West Lakes.

Has anyone mentioned the trial game last year at Richmond oval it was around 43 c and the game was played in the am and it was the high 30's at the time of the seconds starting.

I know this is the SANFL forum, but I played on a day in Canberra where it snowed during the game. No one could see the umpire, no lines were visible and the ball became a medicine ball. The game became an old mini league game where everyone ran after the ball because it was so cold.

The A grade game got called off and to this day I think it's the only time the Raiders have played in the snow.

FWIW, we lost. The max temp at Belconnen was 1.5. After the game I couldn't warm up and I've never felt 'cold' since.
