He was a 6'7" ruckman from Carlton in the VFL. He played more league games with Carlton than he did for Norwood :)

Interesting you mention Pope made an impact but not on the field. I haven't heard this one, what's the story?

One player from the WAFL to make an impact at Norwood was David Armour, recruited from East Perth in 1978. He was originally from Geelong in the VFL.
