West Torrens relocating to Modbury pre Merger?

When this discussion comes up I always think that South Adelaide are in the absolute box seat with all the development going on down south, thats a huge geographic footprint.

Centrals are also in a very good position with a new residential development that will number thousands of houses set to be established between Virginia and Munno Para.

Time for another boundary / zone change then.

It's been done already. Both our metro and country zones have been near enough halved over the last 20 years. It obviously helped, not hindered though.

SOme of the zones are odd though.

I went to Camden Primary which is about 8-10 kms from Jetty Rd yet it was Westies territory.
THe amount of footballers that went to Camden and played for Westies would be quite a few yet it is knowhere near Richmond Oval. it's just that it is WEST of Adelaide....rather than next door to Glenelg.

That's hardly an extreme though smithy as Camden Park is 5kms away from Richmond and 3kms away from Glenelg.
Surely its a bit more odd that Aberfoyle Park is Westies territory which is about 20kms away?

There was a time when the railway line along the back of Elizabeth oval was the zone boundary. Doesn't get any more extreme than that!
