For Spelly: Players who look like pineapples

Postby pipers » Sun Sep 09, 2007 12:54 am

Just watching the Aussies play Japan in the RWC.

The Japanese have a player with dreadlocks who has tied them all up above his head.

He looks like a pineapple.

How many SANFL players have done this? Poulton was one...

And how many of those were ginger?

Good to see Fabrizio Ravanelli umpiring the match with an irish accent.

Ahh, thanks Smithy. It isn't on the box over here. Maybe there'll be a replay tomorrow.
If Japan win it'd be all over every form of media that exists. Otherwise most people wouldn't even know the game had been played.
Myself included.
Shocker, I used to love rugby when I lived in Australia. Still do, but it was one of those "passive" sports I enjoyed when the network people went to all the trouble of broadcasting it live.

Maybe "players with the oddest hairstyles" could be worth researching. Have to go a little way to beat Troy Jacques early in the year, with a mohawk of sorts, although honorable mentions to the ponytail brigade (Sam Rudolph), the 80's look with headbands (Vlatko and McGuinness), Advanced Hair "Before" shots (Perrie, Moore), Welcome Back Kotter/Huggy Bear (McGregor) and peroxide returns (Hart).

I wrote WRC the first time. I thought it was Womens Rowing Championship.

Why did you have to include the sig' in the quote for? In one week's time I can erase it and all memory of it will be gone.
Except for your quote of course. :(
