What about Callinan owning Phillips and then going on to win a premiership medal and Jack Oatey good football side the Dogs of 2010!

He was talking about the days when footy was important (*runs*)

Geez i have seen that sort of punch do alot more damage from alot smaller type guys at local pubs around the northern suburbs. He obviously struggled when it came to the boxing training in pre season.

Gutless cowardly act which he couldnt even manage to pull off anyway, he got his premiership but funnily enough most South Australian sports fans remember Sims for throwing that punch and then getting it back with interest later in the game.

King Hits like that should have resulted in much larger penalties, same applies throughout Graingers career and the Gowans hit against North should have resulted in longer suspensions imho.

whufc, I was attending to Matthew Simpson that day in the rooms and I can assure you he was in a very bad way immediately afterwards and for some time after.

It was an extremely distressing and worrying situation in the rooms at the time for his family and I can assure you it did a lot more than minimal damage.

This is only to set the record straight as I understand why you might post that, not knowing the full situation, mate.

Fair play mate as i was only going by what i had seen on the highlights.

Not saying this didnt happen or anything but in my personal experience especially at local Northern Suburb pubs i have seen people nearly die and one who did from these type of punches.

And once again only because of personal experience i honestly believe anyone who kings hit someone like that should be done for attempted murder, im being serious!
