I was surprised to find out that Foxsports presenter Nick McArdle was a Glenelg player.
Anyone remember what kind of player he was or if his media career cut short a promising league career ?

He must have played U17s or U19s else there would definately be something on Snouts Wiki site, and I couldn't locate any info on there at all

A Q&A with Nick McArdle for all those Bays fans out there.

Favourite sports:
Cricket, AFL, NRL, swimming, tennis - basically all sports.

Sports you played:
Played everything as a kid growing up in country SA. Reached the dizzy heights of a state under-age country cricket side!!!!
Played under 19's and some reserves football for Glenelg in the SANFL and have basked in the glory of team-mates who went on to become a lot more famous than me!

Favourite sportsmen and sportswomen:

There are many - Steve Waugh, Allan Border, Grant Hackett, Natalie Du Toit, Peter Carey - all inspirational in their own way and for various reasons.

No 1. sporting moment of all time:
Too difficult!!!
Makybe Diva's third Melbourne Cup victory, 2003 Cricket World Cup win, Grant Hackett's win in the 1500 in Athens... too many to think of.

Most memorable sportsman or sportswoman you interviewed (describe circumstances and any special moments):

Betty Cuthbert, Bill Brown, Sir Garfield Sobers... for sheer emotion, Grant Hackett's straight after the 1500 in Athens.

Person you would most LIKE to interview:

WG Grace (unlikely)

Dream sporting event to cover:

Any Olympics... you'll never work harder but an event chocca block full of special moments and nothing beats working in a team environment.

Any cricket tour is special.

Funniest or most embarrassing moment:

Live on-air one Saturday night, "TIGER WOODS LEADS BY SHIT SOX... Ahh, I mean Six Shots."

If you could change one rule in any sport what would it be?

I used to really hate the six and out rule in backyard cricket!
