This was a discussion from the HOW TO WIN GAMBLING post between MAL/DUTCHY

Over the years and being a place punter I noticed a pattern.
Horses after winning a Maiden would miss a place in a Class 1 race the following start
I reviewed my findings and as a general rule discovered that the longer a horse
was a Maiden the more likely it was to miss a place in the C1

On any given day if you peruse the fields in the C1 events you will notice
that previously horses that won Mdns were unplaced the start after

RULES
never back a maiden first try in a class 1
applies to provincial race meetings only
more starts to win a maiden the higher the risk in the C1
always risk heavily any horse showing odds on for a place

The beauty of this system is you dont need to read or study form
Just pick up the Advertiser and evaluate
I will trial the system for the rest of August

DUTCHY is right on MR 8
I left out BR5-4 it is scratched

sorry this may sound dumb but are you saying to back these horses 4 a place ?

BETFAIR -these horses are likely to be in the market and with MALS detailed research over the years it shows that these horses are unlikely to place let alone win.

so you dont back these horses you leave them out of any multi's you may have, or you lay them on BETFAIR.

This system is purely a guide
It has worked in the past
There is no guarentee it will work in the future

The selections are risks and should NOT be backed in my opinion
BETFAIR account holders can lay these horses
Punters can leave these horses out of quins/exactas/any2s/trifectas
If you intend backing these horses, perhaps still back them but decrease the investment

master those 3 to run the tri and take field 4th in the first 4

If you invested $1-00 place on the 4 runners result =

inv $4-00
ret $3-60...................1 PAID $1-60....4 PAID $2-00....2+4 unplaced
lose $0-40 cents

I guess with 4 runners in a nine horse field that they had chances to run a place

NR 5-4 MISSED A PLACE !!!

Back them all at equal stakes and you would be $1-40 down for every $1 invested

the 1 should lead, the 10 should settle in behind and the 4 I think will settle midfield, but no worse then 5th-6th

would you alter the rules of the system when you have instances like today when you had 4 selections in a 9 horse field, even though you ended up winning on the race investing $1 place on all runners.

But I guess that if its restricted to one horse per race might work better

the 4 settled midfield and ran 4th

basically the first 4 in the run ran the first 4!

If you backed them all on the TAB today at $1 per bet you would have lost
But Im still with 3 of them getting up for a place
