Wanting your opinion dutchy and others-
although Judd is an overwhelming fave for the medal - as always im looking for some value and Brent Harvey at $201/1 for the win or $51/1 for the place looks surprisingly long- hes started really well this year hasn't he?? Is he any chance??

Also like Sam Mitchell at 12/1, and like riewoldt at 151/1 win and 38/1 place (he already has 3-6 votes and could string some games together)

Am I DREAMING and will Judd win by 20 and I should forget about it:?: :?:

Suggest always look for value...I dont play the Brownlow market very much but if I do it is roughies as you are mad taking anyone under 10/1 at this time of the season as they are only a suspension or injury away from losing your cash...suggest looking for someone who is going to improve as the season progresses (I believe Goodes was 40/1 this time last year).

As for Harvey Iwas only thinking on the weekend he would be a show if he continues this form, he is playing without injury for the first time for 2 years, where did you see 200/1? the best I can see is 100/1 at Centrebet and Sportsbet, he is $67- at IAS and $71- at TAB

He doesnt mouth the umpries anymore and has got votes previously and is always consistent...might do some more research and come back with some stats.

Judd certainly looks hard to beat BUT again I stress how could you back him with all the variables of the AFL with 14 weeks to go?

Forget about Riewoldt, he plays for a DUD team that wont win many more matches and doesn't play in the mid field.
The Brownlow should be re-named the MID FIELDERS MEDAL bcos unless u play there, u canNOT win it. Remember when Treadrea won every media award a few years back and was a raging FAV with the bookies, didn't come close in the voting bcos the umps only reconize on-ballers.
Judd only needs to play another 7-8 games to be a certainty.

Stumps, If your on Harvey you would like this comment from Sheehan on the weekend -

Brent Harvey simply ran Steven Baker off his legs, finishing with 26 possies, and was at his best early.

If the Brownlow isn't destined for Perth, it might end up at Arden St.

James Hird?
A golden boy with the umpires, in possibly his last season, and may not have many taking votes off him.

Where is McLeod now? He burned early but quietened off - if he resurrects his form he would still be a chance and his odds must have fallen away in recent weeks.

I've gone $5 on West Coast premiers/Hird Brownlow double - to get back $378.

Hird has played some very good last quarters lately which means his deeds will be fresh in the umps minds when casting the votes.

Sadly my punts kill everything so you can expect Hird to do his knee this coming weekend and West Coast to lose the lot from now on...

Hmmm...Harvey now into $17 for the Medal, a big shortener again on the weekend...West Coast at $3.35. It's a long road ahead, but at this stage, it's getting interesing!! (Syd $16, Coll $17).

I like Rhett Biglands into Richmond for the double. Im also tempted by Geelong not to make the top 8.
