gdp,

r1 2 likely leader & winner 1 should run 2nd with 3,6,7,8 main multi hopes
r2 3 e/w from 6,7,10
r3 4 e/w from 1,7,8,9
r4 while the 1 is up in class it still looks hard to beat but the big ? will it hold the lead ? as if 3 crosses it'll hand up probably to 5 so i'll be on him e/w (which will put 1 3 back on pegs) NO VALUE THE 1 other hopes to 2,3,7,8,9
r5 heaps of chances 4,7,8,9,12 i'll be on 4 if double figures (does gallop though) if trotts hard to catch while 12 won this race in 2004
r6 7 an absolute moral from 4 with next best 1,3,5,7
r7 8 an absolute moral from 1, 4 with next best 2
r8 heaps of hopes 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 i'll be either looking for value or doing the smarter thing & stay out
r9 in a hard race 3,6,7,8

suggested bet(s)
r1 no2 win
r3 no4 e/w
then an allup
r6 no7 win
r7 no8 win

betfair lay
if r4 no 1 is odds on (i've rated it 6/4) i'd lay it because of what i said

gdp mon,

r1 an even fitter 10 looks too good for them main danger 2 then 6,7,8,9
r2 in an open trott 7 e/w from 2,3,8,9,10
r3 10 on top from 8 next best 3,5
r4 9,10 top two from 3,5,6,7,8
r5 2 should lead & win main dangers 7,8 next best is 1
r6 i do not know enough about these to confidently predict STAY OUT
r7 chances 1,5,7,8,9 with 1,5 the top two
r8 chances are 3,4,5,7,10 with 5 on top, it trialled well recently

suggested bet(s)
r1 no 10 win
r3 no 10 win
r5 no 2 win

betfair lay of the month
r5 no 10 CAN NOT WIN FROM THIS DRAW (mt79 let me know if you've got $$$$$$$$ in your account as i want to lay it)

good luck on the punt for both meetings

did anyone see the 'team driving race' on friday night ?? there is no prize for guessing who, where & why

Is anyone heading to GDP tonight?

Good chance I'll be up there with the in-laws.
Let me know.

yeah ok i pressed the wrong number it should've been 6 but it doesn't matter as cullens hope got beat by a shocking tactical drive, all he had to do was wait but no, when the extra prizemoney is up for grabs he got a 'rush of blood' & had to go :? :? :? we all knew that rogers would not give up the death so why didn't robbo ?

It was no worse the the stable driving that got the moral and favourite beaten in another race... Boof = very unlucky not to get a treble tonight!!

HARNESS HARP
------------------

BLACK VENOM

A trotter that is causing headaches for connections.
When the trotter begins with the field it is a very good conveyance and is
very competitive and hard to beat.
But on far too many occasions it bungles the start and finishes up to a lap
behind the field.
The last 2 weeks at GDP it has missed the start hopelessly and finished last.
Saturday night I felt sorry for the connections as when it came around past
the finshing post in the run the crowd would burst into a spontaneous applause and greet
it with laughter.
However one very irate punter stood by the fence and hurled out a tirade of abuse
to the driver as he past him.

This horse finishes tailed off too often
Punters do thier $$$$ cold
Do they trial this horse in front of the stewards until it mends its manners ?
Whats the answer ?

CHESS RAIDER
-------------------

3 runs in a week is bad enough, but the driving tactics are puzzling.
SAT 17/2 it was restrained to the rear and had lets say it had a soft run finishing well back
MON 19/2 it showed speed and led and smashed them to win careering away

We have brought up the subject matter in various posts and most of the experts
have agreed that perhaps this horse did not race on its merits 17/2

SAT 24/2 the same horse came out and took on the leader but did not cross
and raced in the death seat and finished well back

Should the stewards quiz the driving tactics ?

Black Venom - it is generally not galloping in the run, so nothing will be done.. my understanding is that because it's RODS (Right Outside Draw Stand) - then if it doesn't trot away - then too bad.. if it was going away and galloping in the run, then that's different and it would be made to trial.

Endeared - YES, I am talking out my pocket, but it cost me getting the quaddie.. I wouldv'e only got for 3.75% with those combo's..

R1 - 10 looks a good thing from 6,7,8,9 and maybe 1,2 filling a minor hole
R2 - 2,7,8,10 the main winning hopes i think...
R3 - 10 on top from 1,2,7,8 (thought the 7 went very good Friday with no luck)
R4 - **$5k Jackpot Quaddie here** 5,6,7,10 the main hopes with place chances to 6,9
R5 - 2 looks a good chance with 7 the only real danger, place hopes to 3,4,8,10
R6 - I know nothing about these really.. so a field job
R7 - 1,5,8 on top from 2,6,7 and the 9 has another trainer.. 3rd in 2 months... so
R8 - 5,6,7 the main hopes from 1,3,4,9,10

suggested bets
R1 - 10 w
R3 - 10 w
Quaddie - 5,6,7,10 - 2,7 - field - 1,2,5,6,7,8

Good luck

Does any one know any thing about race 6 GDP today?

Jackpot Jim.. I have checked the trial results and apart from a couple of them trialling and winning (in slow times) - not much.. in fact nothing..

Makes life very difficult for our Jackpot quaddie today.. but would suggest take drivers / trainers you like and go wide..

black venom- i think there has to be a point where the stewards just say it cant race in standing starts until until it trials consistently and gets away without incident. (although personally i dont mind black venom racing as there is always money for it so it gives slightly better odds for the rest of teh field)

Hey guys ive been on Smarty Arty every start since he came from perth ...Apart from first up when he galloped in the score up he has not run a bad race since coming here ... Wondering why he keeps starting big odds ?? Im not complaining as ive collected nearly every week but seems to be a pretty consistent performer especially if the speed is on .... backed him the other night thinking he would get a cosy run behind the odds on fave but got shuffled back to last and then came home with a wet sail.... This horse ran some good races in fast class at gloucester park but it seems as thought the local punters have ignored him

Thought the quaddie paid poor as it was.. would have been a good result with a couple (except 1 or 5) - the 7 would have been a good result for me..

But still a profit was made, that's the main thing I suppose... as mal will say when you're not losing - you're winning
